Over the years, many of our reviewers have become big fans of Flylow’s apparel (and the brand’s always entertaining co-founder, Dan Abrams). For this giveaway, the winner will get to pick between the women’s Billie Coat + Nina Pant combo, or the men’s Quantum Pro Jacket + Chemical Pant.
All four pieces use Flylow’s 3-layer, 20K/20K-rated Intuitive fabric, and their new, high-performance OmniBloq water-repellant finish (which they say lasts 3x longer than a typical DWR). We’ve used several Flylow pieces with the same fabric and found them be very waterproof and offer a nice amount of breathability for any sort of resort skiing, as well as some bootpacking and touring.
The Billie Coat & Quantum Pro Jacket both come with all the features you’d expect of a high-end, waterproof shell: tons of pockets, underarm vents, water-resistant YKK zips, a removable powder skirt, helmet-compatible hood, adjustable cuffs, and a moderate fit that should work well for a lot of people.
The Nina Pant & Chemical Pant are similarly fully featured, with several pockets, multiple vents, burly 1000-denier reinforcements at the cuffs, water-resistant YKK zips, and an adjustable waist.
