Today we’re running the 2nd episode of our Up and Coming series, where we talk with athletes, who, if they aren’t already on your radar, they certainly should be. And our guest today perfectly matches that description.
Because aside from her very unassuming disposition, everything about Ming Goetz is extraordinary — her name, her background, her favorite discipline — slopestyle — her competing recently in the Crankworx Whip Off Challenge, her plans for the future (which include competing in Red Bull Rampage) and … her abilities on a bike.
So I sat down with Ming in Blister HQ to talk about her background and how she got into competing in DH and slopestyle and Crankworx, and we also talk about a very cool new event that is currently happening, the first ever Women’s Slopestyle Tour, which has 1 stop remaining, with Ming currently sitting in 2nd place.
We also get Ming’s thoughts on Red Bull Rampage and opening the event up to women, her very very interesting (of course) career plans, and more.
This is a fun one, and I am very pleased to share with you my conversation with Ming Goetz.
