  1. Thanks for the book suggestions, I just bought some after hearing I have similar tastes to Miranda, especially David Sedaris audiobooks. I would love to hear book club reccos, specifically for audiobooks.
I would like to suggest Possessed, by Bruce Hood. Especially as someone whose life is all about gear, that book is about our drive to own possessions, and how it’s not working out that well. I’m as guilty as most here reading these reviews, I want more gear and stuff. That book helps put it all in context and ultimately gives me insight before I make that purchase. Do I really need/want this? Why?
There is a Hidden Brain NPR podcast episode that covers most of it, if you don’t want to read it.
The book is not perfect, but I think it is very important for gear nerds to consider.
For instance, I would LOVE an ECM Synkronika. I can’t really afford/justify it, but I also have to just back off and say “Really?”.
Jonathan you should get an espresso machine. It’s the fastest and best way to consume coffee, when done correctly.
