  1. Character flaws are what Cody is describing with Dean! Cannabis does not lead to Psychosis especially after one toke. More harm has been done with alcohol and the promotion of booze in the ski industry then cannabis. Cannabis has never killed anyone and more people need to become educated on the topic before the drink there brews every night like I see Cody on his videos. All I’m saying is you’re clearly setting a worse example on a daily basis. As a recovering alcoholic of 7 years I can relate to many people. And what your saying is wrong ignorant and uneducated. More people need to emphasize with people in need and reach out be a friend to the ones you don’t like you never know what it’s like from there perspective until you take the time. Go to AA meeting gain some perspective. I call Bs!

  2. I just finished reading that article about Dean. Though I am no doctor, it sounds like classic schizophrenia that may have been worsened by CTE. Absolute tragedy for the families, the family of the person he killed, and his own.

  3. I thought Cody did a good job talking about Dean in a measured way. Always hard to know with mental illness. Could it have been avoided with earlier intervention? What triggered his descent? The bottom line is it is a tragedy for all involved.

International Women’s Day just occurred. Gives you guys a good excuse to talk about some of the cool stuff women are doing in skiing/in the ski industry next month.

    Keep up the good work.

    • Cannabis *can* increase the development of psychotic disorders. If your family has a history of schizophrenia, or you suspect you have schizophrenia, you shouldn’t smoke weed. There’s a lot we still don’t know about cannabis and neurobiology. I’m pro legalization of weed, but there’s nothing wrong about speaking towards it’s potentially consequential side affects. He also didn’t blame cannabis. He said, “we will never know.”

  4. Another fun geo-engineering gaf: my dad grew up in the UP, they where experiencing an up tick in vehicle/ deer collisions so they cut the tree line back from the road to increase visibility. To prevent erosion on the disturbed soil they planted a fast-growing non-native grass along the newly opened shoulder. Well the deer loved the new grass and spent more time near the roads and vehicle/deer collisions got even worse.
