The Faction Eleven is a new ski that replaces the Faction Thirteen. It’s effectively a modified Thirteen, Faction’s burly, big-mountain ski.

The Eleven is a touch wider than the Thirteen (115mm underfoot vs. 112mm), it has a touch of camber underfoot (2mms, as opposed to 0 for the Thirteen), and there has been a bit of a reduction in the amount of tip rocker, which seems to us like a smart move — the Thirteen has a very deep rocker line and a huge amount of tip splay.

But the Eleven carries over the Thirteen’s Poplar / Ash core, a combination that often yields a pretty smooth, damp ride.

Finally, while the Thirteen had a fat, flat, square-off tail (stated dimensions of the Thirteen: 135-112-132mm), the Eleven has a more tapered shape: 138-115-124mm.

  1. How are Faction’s true lengths measuring up these days? Particularly the flat tail models (Agent 90/Agent 100/Nine/Ten/etc), and the twintip models just out of interest.
