This ski was an absolute blast to try. I was encouraged to take it out for a demo even though the length was pretty far beyond what I usually ski. At slow speeds and in tight terrain the length was definitely noticeable and the ski felt fairly clunky and sluggish. However, once you got this ski over 35 mph it really opened up and showed what it was capable of. I spent most of my time on groomed black diamond terrain trying to find the top end speed of this ski and struggled to do so. It just encouraged me to go faster and faster and instilled confidence with its damp ride and composure. While I found it to be a bit of a one trick pony (which is what the folks at the Folsom booth said this extra long version was built for) it was amazingly fun to take it out for a couple hours and see how fast it would go.
