I have these skis set up as a 50/50 setup with Shift bindings and primarily use them on fresh snow in the backcountry and deep resort powder days. If the powder is not that deep or will be chopped up fairly quickly I prefer a heavier ski like the Rossignol Black Ops 118 which does a much better job in crud and chop. This is where the low weight of the Bent Chetler 120 is a huge downside as they get knocked around incredibly easily. While these are not designed with groomers in mind, they are still plenty of fun for getting back to the lift as long as you don’t mind slip sliding and skidding around as you have a blast launching side hits. Incredibly light, playful, and with a low swing weight, they float well and encourage a centered playful ski stance. The float almost effortlessly in deep powder.
