I am not sure that I can answer the Playfulness question, as I am VERY directional in my skiing and I try to stay out of the air. I am 56, I need to have limits :>).

SKI LENGTH: It felt just right (188 cm length tested)

THIS SKI’S IDEAL TERRAIN: Firm groomers | Softer groomers | Firm moguls | Softer moguls | Low-angle, off-piste terrain | Fairly steep off-piste terrain | Very steep off-piste terrain | Trees | I also had fun ta4 day old, wind swept, sun baked, cookie dough, snow

THIS SKI’S IDEAL SNOW CONDITIONS: Pretty firm snow | Softer, but not deep snow | Untracked powder (shallow) | Untracked powder (deep) | Soft chop / pretty forgiving cut-up snow | Firm, off-piste chop or crud | I think you can take this ski anywhere and it will be happy to play.

WHAT TYPE(S) OF SKIER DO YOU IMAGINE WILL GET ALONG BEST WITH THIS SKI?

The Moment Countach 104 is going to be a good choice for high intermediate to advanced skiers who want a ski that can handle a wide range of terrain and conditions. This ski seams to be a perfect 1 ski quiver for a West Coast skier. I have not had a chance to ski it on ICY or Spring Freeze Thaw Corn cycles yet. But for everything else it has been absolutely a Blast to ski.

ARE THERE SIMILAR PRODUCTS YOU’VE SKIED THAT YOU CLEARLY PREFER? IF SO, WHY?

The Moment Countach 104 is the first Ski over 100mm under foot that I have ever skied. My previous ski is an Atomic Maverick 95TI, which was the first ski I bought since 1991 after a long Hiatus away from skiing.
The limitation of the Maverick is Soft Snow. The sinks in Powder and becomes VERY hard to turn in fresh snow. The thing I like about the Countach over the Maverick, it has opened up more of the mountain to be skied with confidence for me.

Moment Countach 104 / 188 Length:
Location / Conditions: 5 Days at Mammoth Mountain, Ca over 2 trips. Trip 1: 3 days after a 4-foot snow storm / Mid-Winter like good snow conditions. Trip 2 Heavy Wind and Snow Storm then a Blue Bird Powder Day
Ski Schedule: Day 1: Blue Groomers, 2: Easy Ski Blue Groomers with Kimberly AM / Bumps PM, Day 3: Steeps Day 4: Blue Powder runs in Awful Weather Day 5: Fresh and Chopped Up Powder on Intermediate to Steeps.
Accessories: Boots Lange LX HV 120, Salomon Strive 16 Bindings
First Impression:
This ski likes to turn, and it is game for fun.
Groomers:
From the first turn this ski went down the fall line absolutely Carving Tight Slalom Short Radius turns. Super fun on Blueish / Black Groomers. Especially as speed increased and terrain pitched a bit more.
Bumps:
This ski was very good in the bumps. As noted earlier it likes to turn, and it does not have to be going super-fast or on a flat surface to turn. For the times I got knocked into the backseat, I could manage to make the next turn to get things back on track. Since it was early season, the bump run I selected was pretty wide and not terrifyingly steep. However, I would not be afraid to take this ski someplace narrow, step, and VERY bumpy as my ski fitness grows this season.
Steeps:
The top of Mammoth was open, so I was able to take the ski on some steeps. Conditions varied from scraped off windswept hard packed power to ankle deep wind buffed powder. The Countach inspired confidence with edge hold on the hard pack, and being easy turn in the soft snow.
Funky, Sun Baked, Choppy, Wind Swept, Breakable Crust, Cake Batter Snow:
Normally not something I would seek out, but since I had 104 under foot why not give it a shot? The Countach seemed to want to stay on top of the snow, turn, and keep my face out of the snow. But this is still a work in progress.
Fresh Powder:
These skis make me WANT to seek out fresh soft snow. This is the first time; I have had the confidence to ski with some confidence in 6 inches of fresh snow. And it was fun and addicting. These skis have opened up more terrain across the mountain for me. This was in both low angle tree skiing and the windswept steeps off of Chair 23.
Final Conclusion:
After 5 days of skiing in super great conditions, I think the Countach 104 is a SUPER fun ski. This ski is down for literally anything: cutting fresh Corduroy for Speed and Style points, to banging Bumps, and the Holy S#!T Steeps.
The quote from Moment Skis in the marketing is exactly correct!

“It’ll take everything you dish out without demanding much at all. Think turbocharged, all-wheel-drive hatchback—plenty of room for groceries or a mellow Sunday cruise with the kids, but enough horsepower to smoke your stuck-up neighbor from the stoplight and lose ‘em in the rearview through the corners—not that you’d ever do a thing like that.”

What I do not know is how it will it work when conditions get ICY. The Moment Countach 104 is going to be a good choice for high intermediate to advanced skiers who want a ski that can handle a wide range of terrain and conditions.
