WHAT TYPE(S) OF SKIER DO YOU IMAGINE WILL GET ALONG BEST WITH THIS SKI?
Folks who love to carve, and like a twin tip.
ARE THERE SIMILAR PRODUCTS YOU’VE SKIED THAT YOU CLEARLY PREFER? IF SO, WHY?
Contrasting this to the Line Blade,
Mirus Cor has a much more accessible carve, slightly shorter radius; Line Blade is stiffer, and can vary turn radius better. I am unable to carve switch on the Mirus Cor as well as I can on the Blade; I find the tails feel hooky to me when skiing switch, and initiate turns harder than I want them to. I can get a higher SkiIQ on the Mirus Cor than the Blade (155 vs 149). The Blade is a more versatile all mtn ski (stiffness). The Mirus Cor beats me up like a touring ski on hard terrain; it’s so light.

It’s a really fun carving ski, but it’s pretty soft… so it’s forgiving, and the easiest ski to arc short radius carves on low angle terrain I’ve been on. It only takes a G or so to bend the ski, so you can use the whole edge in a turn that’s not that hard, which can be cool. You can carve very low angle stuff. I can’t get more than 2.5G’s or so out of this ski, and can get about 3.5 out of a Fischer Curv GT. When you turn really hard the tips and tails flop and fail. I bought the Mirus Cor envisioning myself skiing like Nathan Taugwalder, doing high speed carves to switch carves and 360’s on piste…. but takeoff’s are a little sketchy for me with the tight radius.
