PLAYFULNESS (Open Ended):

Despite being a strong carver on the heavier side, they are still a little playful when you want to have fun. Definitely not loose or surfy, but you can release the tails to kill speed, pop little side hits and enjoy a wide range of turn shapes.

WHAT TYPE(S) OF SKIER DO YOU IMAGINE WILL GET ALONG BEST WITH THIS SKI?

Strong intermediates and above, with decent technique will revel in the superbly smooth ride, endless edge hold and versatile turn shapes. An excellent directional ski for someone who spends 80% of their time on groomers and appreciates a ski that provides an option to go almost anywhere in any conditions.

ARE THERE SIMILAR PRODUCTS YOU’VE SKIED THAT YOU CLEARLY PREFER? IF SO, WHY?

Easily the best all mountain ski I’ve ever used in that 80mm waist width.

The Montero AX is quite a bit more expensive than many other options out there, so it won’t be in everyone’s budget. If you can afford it you won’t be disappointed.
