PLAYFULNESS (Open Ended):
A great all-around playfulness combo of decent ratings for poppy takeoffs, light in the air, stable landings, slashing, spraying, non-catchy pivoting, quick/tight turns, super-forgiving-and-supportive tail on out-of-balance landings onto unexpected obstacles, etc. …And all this playfulness comes at a very wide range of speeds from very slow skiing with toddlers all the way up to medium-fast. At the very highest speeds, it still works pretty well to try playful moves, but I’d recommend a heavier ski for doing that all the time.
SKI LENGTH: It felt just right (188 cm length tested)
THIS SKI’S IDEAL TERRAIN: Softer groomers | Low-angle, off-piste terrain | Fairly steep off-piste terrain | Very steep off-piste terrain | Trees
THIS SKI’S IDEAL SNOW CONDITIONS: Softer, but not deep snow | Untracked powder (shallow) | Soft chop / pretty forgiving cut-up snow
WHAT TYPE(S) OF SKIER DO YOU IMAGINE WILL GET ALONG BEST WITH THIS SKI?
Intermediates through experts. A great match for those who enjoy changing back and forth between playful styles and serious high-speed styles. And it’s also a decent candidate for skiers who have a narrower skiing style within this ski’s very wide versatility range — for example, playful skiers who choose not to ski powerfully at the highest speeds, especially those who enjoy a mount point designed to be as far back as -8 cm. And in any snow too shallow to warrant a powder ski with at least a ~118 mm waist.
ARE THERE SIMILAR PRODUCTS YOU’VE SKIED THAT YOU CLEARLY PREFER? IF SO, WHY?
No. This ski is different and special.

I am very, very impressed with the Countach 110. My main takeaway is that it enables a special blend of both playful fun skiing styles as well as some serious forceful skiing styles, across an exceptionally wide range of speeds. I’ve skied many ski models that deliver impressive versatility, but the Countach 110’s versatility along the “fun vs. serious” scale strikes me as uniquely special.
