PLAYFULNESS (Open Ended):
Because these skis are so smooth and easy to carve, to me it makes it easy to make just about any turn shape. They are happiest in a carved turn on a groomer but I can still throw them sideways at any time.

THIS SKI’S IDEAL TERRAIN: Firm groomers | Softer groomers
THIS SKI’S IDEAL SNOW CONDITIONS: Extremely firm hardpack or ice | Pretty firm snow
WHAT TYPE(S) OF SKIER DO YOU IMAGINE WILL GET ALONG BEST WITH THIS SKI?
I’m an intermediate skier and I love these skis. I don’t feel like there is a limit to these skis on a groomer and I think I would have a really hard time to actually lose an edge, even in really firm conditions.
ARE THERE SIMILAR PRODUCTS YOU’VE SKIED THAT YOU CLEARLY PREFER? IF SO, WHY?
I prefer these skis over the Rossignol Experience 86ti’s (22/23) that I sold when I picked these up at the end of last season. They offer the same edge grip and stable, smooth ride but are must easier to ski at slower speeds and low edge angles.

Everything you’ve heard about Stockli’s is correct. They are super damp and stable in any condition, and this Montero AX is also really approachable. Whatever the reason (construction, shape, etc…) they are super easy to ski and are not demanding at all. They are even fun on low angle beginner terrain.
