Digital Access Pass Benefits:
The Digital Access Pass grants access to all of our digital Winter Buyer’s Guides, Mountain Bike Buyer’s Guides, “Flash Reviews,” and “Deep Dive” comparison articles.
Flash Reviews
Want to get our take on the latest gear as soon as we start testing it?
Our Flash Reviews (see example) provide our initial impressions of the highest-profile ski, mountain bike, and snowboard gear we’re currently testing, and they’re updated in real time as we spend more time on the products.
Deep Dive Comparisons
Want to save time, get the right gear, and stop wasting money?
Our Deep Dive comparisons (see example) clearly spell out the differences and similarities between a given ski or bike and every other relevant ski or bike in the category. They’ll keep you from wasting hundreds or thousands of dollars on the wrong ski and bike gear, and help you identify the gear that’s best for you.
Our Digital Buyer's Guides — Ski & Mountain Bike
Get a comprehensive overview of the market via our bite-size reviews of hundreds of products
In our annual Blister Winter Buyer’s Guide, we provide our honest, unbiased, and concise thoughts on 300+ skis and hundreds of other products, including ski boots, ski-touring bindings, climbing skins, snowboards, splitboards, and more. It’s the most useful and comprehensive ski buyer’s guide out there, and we publish a new version each year. It’s an excellent way to get an idea of which products and categories you should have your eye on. Then, for many of the products, you can supplement our Winter Buyer’s Guide with our long-form Full Reviews and Deep Dive comparisons to get the best possible understanding of a given product.
On the mountain bike side, we’re rolling out a similar type of guide. However, our digital-only Blister Mountain Bike Guide will be expanded and updated on a rolling basis to provide you with the most relevant information as we spend more time on more bikes, and more of them are released in the future. We’re starting the rollout of the Blister Mountain Bike Buyer’s Guide in August 2025 and will continue adding more sections and more bikes going forward.
FAQ: Blister Digital Access Pass
Our subscriptions are set to automatically renew a year after you first purchase a subscription. If you don’t want your subscription to renew automatically, head to the “My Subscriptions” tab on your “My Account” page and cancel your subscription. By doing so, your subscription will remain active until a year after your most recent order. If you have any questions about our subscriptions or renewal process, please reach out to us via our Contact page.
We often get on gear long before it’s released, and our Full Reviews necessarily take time to produce (you know, since we actually put lots of time on or in the products we test). Blister Flash Reviews provide our initial impressions of a product and are updated in real time as we spend more time on it. We post Flash Reviews for skis, mountain bikes, ski boots, high-profile mountain bike components, ski bindings, and more. Check out our sample Flash Review of the Atomic Bent 110 to see an example
Major time and money savers. Our Deep Dives spell out how a ski or bike compares to every other relevant ski or bike in the category. See an Example: Deep Dive: K2 Mindbender 99Ti
If you have a Digital Access Pass, you can read the digital edition of our latest Winter Buyer’s Guide via the Member Clubhouse, as well as our past, archived guides.
Our Winter Buyer’s Guide is an excellent way to get an idea of which products and categories you should have your eye on. Then, for many of the products, you can supplement our Winter Buyer’s Guide with our long-form Full Reviews and Deep Dive comparisons of individual products to get the whole picture.
We also produce a limited print run of our Winter Buyer’s Guide each year, but the print edition is not included with the Digital Access Pass. The information is identical between the print and digital editions, but if you’d like a hard copy, you can either become a BLISTER+ member or order the print edition on its own (while supplies last).
The Blister Mountain Bike Buyer’s Guide is very similar to what we’ve done with our Winter Buyer’s Guide, but with a few differences.
Our digital-only Blister Mountain Bike Guide covers all the current bikes and bike frames that we have tested. The reviews in it are more condensed than our individual, long-form Full Reviews to help you quickly figure out which bikes you should or should not be considering. But the reviews in the guide are just as honest and considered. The guide also includes our ‘Spectrums,’ where we place all the bikes in a given category along various performance spectrums (e.g., most to least stable at speed) to further compare and contrast them in an intuitive manner.
In contrast to our annual Winter Buyer’s Guide, our Mountain Bike Buyer’s Guide will be expanded and updated on a rolling basis. This way, we can provide you with as much relevant information as possible, since we’re always spending more time on more bikes, and more of them are constantly being released.
We’re starting the rollout of the Blister Mountain Bike Buyer’s Guide in August 2025 and will continue adding more sections and more bikes going forward.
