Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the Torrent 96:
Tips: 6.5
Shovels: 7-8
In Front of Toe Piece: 8.5-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-8.5
Tails: 8-7
Through the cambered portion of Torrent 96, the ski is quite stiff. It gets notably softer once you hit the rockered portions of its tips and tails, and, for a directional ski, the rockered portion of its tail is not dramatically stiffer than the rockered portion of its tip.
