If you’re not familiar with Carv, we highly recommend listening to episode 323 of our GEAR:30 podcast. In it, we talk with Carv co-founder, Alex Jackson, and pro skier, Marcus Caston, about the origins and evolution of their system.

But to sum it up: Carv 2’s sensors collect a huge amount of motion data from your skiing and then their app turns that into useful information to help you learn about and improve your technique. Carv 2 clips right onto the outside of your ski boots, ditching the insoles and cables from the first iteration. Additionally, their new “Ski:IQ Nevado” algorithm is designed to provide feedback and coaching in all snow conditions, not just on piste. In addition to the sensors, this week’s winners will also get a yearlong membership to Carv’s digital ski coaching app that provides real-time feedback on ski technique as well as in-depth data collected while you ski. All of us at Blister have been using Carv 2 this season and have really enjoyed not only seeing who can get the highest Ski:IQ scores, but also learning a lot about the areas we can improve, how the gear we’re testing influences the data collected, and more.

We’ve also found a lot of value in integrating Carv’s data into our reviews, allowing us to pair more quantitative data with our qualitative ski reviews. Additionally, if you want to try Carv for yourself, you can do so at the Blister Summit 2025! You’ll also have a chance to ski alongside and compare scores with Carv ambassadors Ted Ligety and Marcus Caston.

Enter below before Friday, February 14th for your chance to win!

It’s good times for sure, so don’t miss out. You’ll also be kept up to date on what’s new at Carv.

  1. I have been interested in the CARV 2 for some time now and have, having first been introduced to it through videos about the art of carving. As an accomplished skier I enjoy the feeling of carving a good turn; but I also realize that my technique is far from perfect.
Of course, I’m not as limber as I was years ago. I know; however, that I don’t get anywhere near the low angles of Luke Koppa on the cover of the 2024/25 Blister Winter Buyers Guide (or pgs. 85 & 97) or Jonathan Ellsworth (pg. 86.)
The CARV 2 would make a fabulous Birthday gift to me. One can always improve one’s skillset.

  2. My buddy has the new CARV 2 system and loves it. He is a very accomplished skier already but has really focused and improved on carving turns and tracking his progress. I would love to follow in his footsteps.

  3. I am a CARV user, and I have significantly improved my skiing technique this year. I would love to win another set for my wife.
