Colin is an American snowboarder, surfer and traveler currently based out of Portland, Maine. He is also a British citizen, New Zealand permanent resident, and is in the process of becoming an Argentine resident.
On a board, Colin is always looking for new terrain. He prefers hiking or splitting for powder rather than sitting on chairs; however, when riding around the resort, he’s constantly looking to hit any rideable features. Treble Cone, New Zealand, Jackson Hole, WY, and Bridger Bowl, MT are some of his favorite places to ride, but he also really enjoys trips to Japan, South America or the Alps.
Colin is currently competing on the Freeride World Tour after qualifying as the top American rider in 2013 and 2014. When traveling for the Tour, he can be found guiding in Hokkaido, Japan, or on the remote Fiordland coastline of New Zealand for the Awarua Guides Team, or at home in Maine writing and working on a range of other projects. Colin is happiest behind the wheel of a used cargo van full of gear, en route to the mountains or coast, far from the nearest cell tower.
