Trip Report: Taos Ski Valley

Justin Bobb finds deep snow and amazing light at Taos Ski Valley.
Justin Bobb, Niños Heroes, Taos.

Four perfect days: deep snow, bright sun, zero wind, excellent gear, good friends, and great news: more snow is in the forecast.

If you’ve never visited Taos, now would be a very good time. And if you already know Taos, just take another spin through these pictures and we’ll see you Thursday morning, when TSV reopens to its regular schedule of everyday skiing and riding, all season long.

  1. Thanks for sharing.

I have a question/suggestion: will you do a gear review/comparison/best-of for snow gloves?

In the meantime, can you please share your suggestions for the warmest/most durable ski gloves?

    Thanks!

  2. Things look pretty good at Taos – I can dig the sun. Having a mere 105″ here in Alaska don’t suck tho. One of your testers is heading home for X-mas. He will have perfect conditions for testing out some fatties. Maybe I can play camera man. I’ve been pretty much skiing my Big Daddy’s all season.
