What Dynafit says about the Tigard 114

The widest DYNAFIT Ski for a fat pow grin: The new Tigard 114 Unisex touring ski makes the hearts of freeskiers beat faster with its medium width of 114 mm. Its light construction with 100% poplar wood core and the time-tested DYNAFIT carbon speed stringers allow you to save your energy on the way to the perfect line so you can give it your all on the descent. DYNAFIT has proved: A descent-oriented ski without compromising in powder doesn’t have to be heavy! A modern sidecut and the newly developed rocker at the tip and tail together with a balanced flex for fluid performance characteristics transform these skis into the perfect companion for untouched powder, steep couloirs, and diverse descents. Even in demanding ski conditions or when wearing a heavy backpack, you maintain full control and execute perfect ski turns. The slightly raised tip lends improved turn initiation and easy float – even when the snow on a good day is chest deep. The full sidewalls guarantee direct power transfer to the edges for best performance and stability no matter where you are. Tigard 114 Ski – THE ski for powder specialists.

Flex Pattern

Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the Tigard 114:

Tips: 6
Shovels: 7.5-8.5
In Front of Toe Piece: 9.5-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 9.5-9
Tails: 9-8

A very long section of the Tigard 114 is pretty stiff, and the softening that we see at both ends is pretty far from the center of the ski.

Stay Tuned…

We received the Tigard 114 for testing this season. Stay tuned for updates, and let us know of any questions you have regarding this touring ski.
