What La Sportiva says about the Tempo:

“Your Tempo just got faster as we dropped 20% of the weight for this 2024 ski update. A new core construction focused on delivering great edge hold and performance, while letting you squeeze in those extra laps as the day winds down. Consider it your ultimate go-to one-ski quiver for backcountry adventures, promising a harmonious blend of lightweight agility and unbeatable stability. Experience the thrill of unmatched tempo on the mountains, making every run a seamless, joyous rhythm of speed and control.

• The 2024 Tempo sheds 20% of its weight, offering you a faster, more agile ride without compromising on edge hold or downhill performance.
• Experience superior edge control and stability, ensuring precision turns and confidence on steep and technical terrain.
• Featuring low density PVC foam and X45 Paulownia core with Vertical Aluminum Reinforcement, the Tempo delivers unmatched strength and responsiveness.
• PTEX 4001 Sintered Base, die-cut inlays, and eco-friendly 2.2mm steel edges made from 60% recycled content
• D3O® inserts are strategically placed at the tip and tail of the ski to absorb vibrations and enhance stability, providing a smoother ride and improved control on varied terrain.”

Flex Pattern

Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the Tempo:

Tips: 5.5
Shovels: 6-8
In Front of Toe Piece: 8-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-8
Tails: 7.5-5.5

Like the La Sportiva Salto ski, the Tempo’s rockered sections are exceptionally soft. However, the Tempo’s cambered sections are overall significantly stiffer than those of the Salto.
