Club Ride Vibe Jersey

Pockets

The Vibe has two pockets, one on the left chest and the other on the lower right flank. Both pockets have zippers that function well and don’t jam.

(I’m a stickler for good zippers. If a company uses zippers instead of buttons, they should work flawlessly every time and give me instant access to whatever I have stored  in my pockets. Club Ride threw down for good zippers, and so far I’ve had no problems with them.)

The chest pocket is big enough to fit an iPhone, or a couple bucks and an ID for après-ride beverages. Its horizontal hidden zipper is a nice feature that maintains the styling and plaid character of the jersey.

The pocket above the right hip zips vertically and is a great place for a few gel packs or bars. This pocket has a ‘media port’ or slit where headphones can come out to0—just in case you want to listen to Pantara while trying to beat the latest Strava time…

Both pockets are constructed with lightweight mesh, unnoticeable on bare skin.

Durability

As of now, there are no durability issues to report. Club Ride shows a lot of attention to detail, and the stitching, sewn in China, is top-notch.

Smell Factor

The Vibe does get pretty smelly after just one ride. Granted, this is something I’ve noticed with all the synthetic garments I’ve tried. One of the drawbacks of producing a highly breathable, wicking fabric like RideDryWear is that odors get trapped easily and last longer than they would in wool or other materials that incorporate some form of silver.

I spend 90+ days a year working in long sleeve synthetic shirts while maintaining trails in the backcountry, so this isn’t a big deal to me. If it’s a big deal to you, you might consider a wool alternative.

Overall

I’ve really loved my time spent in the Club Ride Vibe. It’s a good looking, lightweight, casual mountain bike jersey that successfully blends fashion and function.
