October is always an exciting month because of Red Bull Rampage, but this year was extra special due to the historic first women’s competition. Dylan and Simon recap this truly amazing event in the Utah desert and offer their take on some of the results. They also cover the usual industry news — some good, some bad — some exciting new products, and a whole lot more.

What sucks about the judging at Rampage leaning towards slopestyle runs is that a lot of the best free riders in the world won’t go and we won’t see what they can do. Semenuk should not have won. Second yes, maybe even third, but not first.
The dude with the $500 bike thing doesn’t matter, if anything it makes Bren’s line better because he only wanted to do Bren’s line. He didn’t do the other lines because, why would you? This is the other issue, Bren’s line is the only one that you have to go to Rampage to do. Semenuk’s score was all do to tricks, he didn’t score because of the line at the the Rampage site, he only scored points because of tricks. Bren can only do his run at Rampage which is what makes this year and last years runs so special. Same thing happened last year when Lewis did the battle ship. He went to that sight and only wanted to do the battle ship because its the only thing worth doing.
