  1. love for K2 as a local goes way back to wrapping skis on Vashon to skiing product that really worked and inspired you to do new things on the mountain with your skiing. The Mindbender series imo is quite possibly a generational gift to skiers with the quality of build and dimensions nailed to accommodate the varying things we want to do on the mountain that day.

  2. So the Women’s models was where the I beam stuff came from? I guess we could say that they made the men’s ski’s by the philosophy : “grew it and blue it”. ;-)

  3. Trying to decide between the K2 mind bender 90 ti or the Blizzard Rustler 9 – would appreciate any input on the two skis. The will be my all mountain ski, I spend my time 60% front and 40% off piste.

  4. I’m also trying to decide between the 90ti 99ti and the rustler 9 and 10 180.

I bought the rustler 10 188 in 2020 model but it is too long for me in tight spots at 5’11 200. It is very good to maneuver but the swing weight and reach is about 4 or 5 cm too much.

It works amazingly well but requires a lot of speed to get on edge. It’s also heavier than I prefer. There is somewhat of a speed limit due to feel more than anything.

The tail release on the rustler 10 188 is extraordinary so I am considering stepping down to the 180 but the 9 and now the k2 90ti are raising questions regarding what I need. I ski 60% east coast ice rinks and 40% west mountain heavy snow.

I ski trees in an exploratory fashion, love big crazy moguls and uncut terrain. Need to be able to pivot and stay balanced. Also like to blast untouched whatever condition pow. Had 2019 Brahma 180 and found them far too stiff tailed for trees or bumps. Had 2014 bonafides 180 and they were the best ski ever but never were totally slidable more scraper. Original bones were amazing though. Now I need something soft tailed but burley but not too heavy but damp. Other poster claim the 99ti k2 is stiff tailed at 184. A 177 would be a real change in my balance. Not sure I like that.

I don’t know what to do or choose anymore.

  5. Another person here comparing the Mindbender 90ti and the Rustler 9. At 6’4 I’d be looking at the longest length, 184 and 188, respectively.

This would be the narrowest ski of the quiver, next bigger is Endorcer 104FR.

This would be a do everything dry spell ski, 50 on piste and 50 off piste. Looking for strong bump and tree performance. Also, want to be able rip groomers when that’s all that is good.
