As a number of locations are beginning to relax travel restrictions and are able to welcome visitors back, we wanted to discuss some important reminders and best practices for recreating responsibly in this time of COVID.
If you do not have time to listen to the full conversation, then we strongly encourage you to check out the show notes to this episode to ensure that you are up-to-date on state and local ordinances.
So let’s all commit to doing things the right way, setting a good example, and not making our current situation harder on our local communities or the communities we might visit.

Could you guys comment on how to behave around people who are clearly not recreating responsibly? I find this the most difficult part, when you see big groups at a trailhead, or a car load of non-locals and probably not same household etc. Give them the stinkeye? Say something? I witnessed some confrontations both in person and social media with “covid-shaming” and “defending my rights”. It definitely depends on the specific situation but I (and my riding friends) have such a hard time with this because we know that trailheads were shut down when a few people did not follow the rules and we fear that will happen again. We also have the impression that it was the people who did not follow the stay at home order and traveled to ride who were the ones who decided the rules did not apply to them. Thoughts? I have just given stink eye and passive-aggressive covid-shaming at this point.
