If that description sounds vague, it’s because RUX was meant to blend the best traits of all those things to make it easier to store, organize, move, and use your gear. Our editor Kristin Sinnott has been using one for the past few months and has become a huge fan, primarily cause the RUX is easier to transport than a rigid bin, but makes it easier to find what you need than a backpack or duffel.
You can head to RUX’s website to learn more, but the highlights of its design include a fully waterproof fabric, a clear window on one side to see your stuff, a molded EVA foam lid and bottom, a rigid top for easier packing / unpacking, bars for securing it to whatever you want, as well as handles and shoulder straps. It can also fully collapse when not in use.
Now, we are very fortunate to be able to try a lot of cool gear at Blister, but ironically, the seemingly simple RUX is currently the product one of our other reviewers has that I’m most jealous of right now. The back of my car is in a constant state of disarray, with biking, fishing, and / or skiing gear scattered all over the place (from May–July, it’s usually a mix of gear from all three…).
