About Alpenglow Sports
Alpenglow Sports is a specialty retail shop that has provided locals and visitors with outdoor gear, free community events, local knowledge, and community-focused nonprofit fundraising since 1973. Based in Tahoe City, Alpenglow Sports takes pride in being community, socially, and environmentally responsible to ensure Lake Tahoe stays one of the best places to play, visit, and live in California. Alpenglow Sports sells premium gear for all four seasons, with a focus on human-powered backcountry exploration and quality above all else. Alpenglow Sports curates backcountry skiing, splitboarding, nordic, climbing, backpacking, and running gear for adventures of all sizes. Athletes and Tahoe community members rely on Alpenglow Sports for nutrition, clothing, inspiration, and equipment. One of their customers’ favorite additions is the library at Alpenglow Sports, where you can buy guidebooks and maps alongside a healthy collection of environmental non-fiction books and adventure stories.
Community Event Organizers
Attend the Alpenglow Sports Winter Speaker Series to hear amazing stories from professional athletes and to connect with like minded outdoorsmen and women. Alpenglow Sports events are focused on connecting their customers to community members and knowledge that you can use to engage deeply with your outdoor pursuits. Every Alpenglow Sports event has a dedicated non-profit beneficiary and focuses on raising funds for local nonprofits with raffles and donations. Alpenglow Sports is on track to raise more than $400,000 for local non-profits this year through events and their fundraising arm, the Donor Party.

Call the shop to schedule a boot modification appointment. A professional boot fitter will work through your problems.
Custom Insoles
Alpenglow Sports makes custom-molded footbeds for comfort and performance. Purchase your boot from us and receive a 10% discount on your custom footbeds!
