What Ferreol says about the Pionnier 104
(Translated from French)
“The Pionnier 104, Ferreol’s flagship ski, is the perfect ski for Quebec powder hunters. Playful, energetic and agile, it allows easy turns both in the tight couloirs of the Chic-Chocs and in the open snowfields. It offers one of the shortest radii in its class.
Turn initiations are precise and stable and exits are energetic. With a snap of the fingers it is possible to make the ski surf on the snow. Its mechanical and geometric properties are calculated to allow an optimal off-piste experience, while maintaining good skiability on firmer snow.”
Flex Pattern
Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the Pionnier 104:
Tips: 6
Shovels: 6.5-7
In Front of Toe Piece: 7.5-9.5
Underfoot: 10-8
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-8
Tails: 7.5-6

So we now have an Icelantic Pioneer, a Fauna Pioneer, and a Ferreol Pionnier?
Camber is looking wild on that ski, also what are those bindings it’s mounted up with?
Hi Mason, you can take a look to the Ferreol camber explanation (in French) here : https://ferreol.ca/blogs/news/la-cambrure-3p-expliquee
The bindings are Fritschi Tecton 12!
Can’t wait to hear more about what you guys think of it!!!
Definitely my fav ski for hard climbs, fun runs down the Chic-Chocs or simply winter vacation in the Alps. I can’t get enough of how well they respond and procure response to every intention I have on backcountry slopes or glades.
