What Armada says about the ARV 106

“The ARV 106 has been our most versatile all-mountain freestyle ski since its inception. It brings an ultra-playful yet stable ride to high performance skiers tired of tossing sticks in the trash every half season. The ARV 106 features Smear Tech’s edgeless base beveling in tip and tail, enhancing soft snow performance and adding additional release. It’s reinforced with AR75 Sidewall construction and a Poplar-Ash Core to absorb high speed chatter and any rail, wall or concrete you can press them on. The ARV 106 is as at home surfi ng the white wave as it is thrashing the pro park.”

Flex Pattern

Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the ARV 106:

Tips: 6.5
Shovels: 6.5-7.5
In Front of Toe Piece: 8-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-8.5
Tails: 8-6.5

The ARV 106 is very stiff through the cambered portioned of the ski, but gets much softer as you move out toward the rockered portions.

Stay Tuned…

We received the ARV 106 for testing this season. Stay tuned for updates, and let us know of any questions you have regarding this all-mountain freestyle ski.

  1. Hi guys

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the edgeless base bevel and whether it raises any question marks over durability. I’d also be very interested to know whether the transition from the soft tips to stiff cambered section creates any “hinge” points in the flex.

When you get round to the Deep Dive, it would be great to see how this ski stacks up to the Sego Big Horn 106, Faction Mana 2.0, Whitedot Altum 104 and RMU Apostle 106.

    Keep up the good work!

    James
