Mons Royale Mid Hit Hoody

We’ve already reviewed the men’s and women’s version of the Mons Royale Mid Hit hoody, but we’re talking about it again since it is still one of our favorites.

And it isn’t just one of our favorite hoodies, it’s one of our favorite pieces of clothing, period.

The Mid Hit has a new colorway and some minor tweaks, but it’s still got a great look and works remarkably well over a broad temperature range (between roughly 75ºF down to 32ºF, depending on the activity level).

Our favorite use: as midlayer for skiing that transforms into a perfect outerlayer for après.

The Mid Hit is made of 270gsm-weight, 100% Unbrushed Merino wool, has a longer cut, a high neck, excellent / functional / comfortable thumb loops that we use quite a bit, and a spacious 3-piece hood:

It’s not cheap (MSRP: $270 NZ / $179 USD), but it doesn’t feel cheap, and ours have seen a whole lot of use over the past couple of years—and they’ll continue to see a whole lot more.
