Blister Summit 2022: What, When, & How to Join

Article Navigation:  Intro //  Schedule //  FAQ

Located in Blister’s hometown of Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado, the Blister Summit is the only consumer-focused gear test and demo event in the world. Test skis and snowboards, talk to company founders, ski with Blister reviewers and professional skiers, learn from designers and innovators in nightly panel sessions, make a new ski buddy or 10, and have a great time.

Over 96% of Blister Summit participants surveyed said they will definitely be coming back to the next Summit, and 100% said they would recommend the event to their friends.

FAQs

Do I need to bring my own skis or snowboard?
Definitely not. There will be plenty of skis and snowboards for everyone.

Should I bring my own ski / snowboard boots?
Always. Take them as carry on or throw them in the car — just don’t leave home without them. There is a chance we’ll have some boots to demo at the Summit but we can’t guarantee we’ll have enough for everyone if they are even available.

Do I need a car while I’m at the Summit?
No, everything you need can be accessed via bus, our backcountry tour shuttles, or is within walking distance.

How do I get to Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado?
Detailed travel information can be found here but with the recent addition of more flights scheduled into Gunnison, it’s now easier than ever to get here.

Are there age restrictions?
If you’re skiing on an adult ski or board, you’re welcome to participate. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign your liability form.

Are there discounted lift tickets available?
We are working on discounted tickets, but at this time we don’t know if we’ll be able to offer them during the Summit. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is part of the Epic Pass and when tickets are purchased in advance, you can ski/ride for as low as $66 per day.

Will there be guided backcountry skiing this year?
Yes, we will be once again working with Irwin Guides to provide backcountry sessions during the on-snow demo days.

What about COVID-19?
We are working with local health officials to ensure we are practicing best policies to keep everyone as safe as possible. We ask that all participants be flexible and adaptable.

What is the refund policy?
If the event is canceled for any reason, attendees will be issued a full refund.

If you are required to cancel your reservation due to COVID-19 illness or exposure, please email us as soon as possible so that we can try to fill your spot. We will issue a full refund under these conditions.

If a travel ban is implemented that restricts travel to or from your place of origin, we will request the updated government mandate for verification, and we will issue a refund.

Will I get to meet Sam Shaheen and Luke Koppa?
Rumor has it they’ll both be there.
