The 2025 Sea Otter Classic is in full swing. Here’s a bunch of the most eye-catching stuff we’ve seen so far.
Fox's prototype inverted fork
Fox was tight-lipped about the details, but they had a prototype inverted single crown fork in front of their booth. It appears to use a 20 mm axle and looks to be aimed at longer-travel Enduro bikes.
Cascade Components' Stumpjumper high pivot conversion kit
Cascade Components is showing off a high-pivot conversion kit for the current Specialized Stumpjumper. It’s available for order now, with only 20 planned for sale.
Stay tuned for next week’s episode of Bikes & Big Ideas for an in-depth dive into this one.
Pivot Trailcat prototype
The lugged carbon fiber and aluminum Trailcat prototype at the back of the Pivot booth is very eye-catching.
So many pivot location options on the Vampire Fastarossa.
There is no shortage of very fancy custom paint jobs on display, including this one in the Cadex booth.
All the gearboxes and belt drives over at Gates.
Speaking of gearboxes, Trinity’s is looking a lot more polished than early iterations.
Some very smooth titanium tube shaping from Blackheart.
… and Turner
… and some 3D-printed Ti lugs from Josh Ogle.
Josh Ogle’s bike uses a 3VO rear suspension module from Ministry. There was also a high-polish Ministry Psalm over at the Spank booth.
Gravel-oriented JNCOs? You heard it here first.
The Turner booth had some retro fun going on, too.
… but were nowhere close to having the oldest bike of the show.
