‘Downhill’ stars A-list actors and comedians (Will Ferrel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Zach Woods); features realistic skiing; takes place entirely at a ski resort; and was released on Valentine’s Day. So it must be every skier’s favorite Rom-Com, right? Not exactly. Today, you’ll hear Amie Engerbretson’s and my strong reactions to one of the most puzzling ski movies we’ve ever seen.

I remember reading reviews of this when it came out as I generally like Will Ferrell, but the reviews were pretty damning. Your views more than back this up! I am now intrigued about Force Majeure as I had never head of that.
I was sorting through (and getting rid of) old copies of Ski magazine and had one from 2011 that listed the “9 best ski movies of all time” as:
Downhill Racer
The Spy Who Loved Me
Ski Party
Better Off Dead
Hot Dog…The Movie
Aspen Extreme
Deep and Light
The Performers
The Blizzard of AAHHH’s
In the lead it did say that some are legitimately great and others are so bad they’re kind of good.
Takeaway, some seem to have stood the test of time plus some that you have yet to review but may have in your plan?
