I have seen this photo / meme perhaps a hundred times, and I always thought it was from the Hangover.
I will give this movie a watch.
I’ll be interested to hear what you think, Pete
Jonathan,
I watched the movie last night, and I enjoyed it.
A few items:
* I am glad I listened to the POD first as it helped keep the timeline straight. I would have missed that detail on this just watching the movie.
* This movie mirrors life. If you take a short cut, it might not work out, in fact it usually goes bad. Especially when going through Sacred Burial ground at the direction of a Reverend who looks like he has 1 foot in the grave already.
* In the ‘give me more’ section / hottest take / biggest question? Did the lost wagon train make it? Were they attacked by the Crow tribe? Did the good Reverend’s illness spread and kill everyone (My Hot Take is things went VERY bad for them btw)?
* Best re watchable scenes / best line / give me more: Hatchet Jack!
* The ending scene with the Crow Warrior. I think the young kids today express this as “Game respects Game”.
* Best scene Bear Claw bringing the Grizzly to Jeremiah to skin. Can you imagine the Go Pro footage on that?
Lastly Jonathan, I am with you if Jeremiah would have just left the strangers alone his path would have been easier. However, just like the lesson with the short cut through the Sacred Burial ground. The Easy thing is not the right thing to do. Which is why Jeremiah becomes a legend.
Looking forward to next weeks show. I have Friday evening solo, so I will be watching the Eiger Sanction. BTW, is this leading to a Rock Climbing run of movies with Cliff Hanger being up next? Or James Bond’s For Your Eyes Only which has Skiing, Rock Climbing, Diving along with Simon’s Favorite Car.
