Today we are talking with Connor Ryan, Ryan McClure, and Isaiah Branch-Boyle about their powerful new film, Surviving Our Story. This film should be required viewing for anyone and everyone who backcountry skis, splitboards, snowmobiles — or does any form of backcountry travel on snow.
And while Surviving Our Story is only 26 minutes long, there are lots of layers to it, and (as you’ll hear me say), lots of angles.
This is definitely a conversation where I’d encourage you to first watch the film, then listen to this conversation, as Connor, Ryan, and Isaiah do an exceptional job of taking us into the decision making and behind the scenes details of a harrowing day in the backcountry, and the aftermath of that day on King Solomon.

I hope this does not sound insensitive. But this is a perfect case study for the need for Blister+. The rescue and the amount of PT must have been crazy expensive. Not to mention the surgeries. Even if he has / had a corporate job type of insurance with lowest deductibles. Glad to hear he is back on skis. Talk about getting back on the horse so to speak.
Pretty sure I do not need to see another femur again.
