  1. Marcus’ run down the Bec was absolutely amazing, and one of if not the finest FWT runs ever. For those interested in more, his two big runs when he burst onto the tour in 2023 the week after winning the FWT Junior Champs are worth a watch.

First at Ordino Arcalis, he crashed and lost his goggles near the top of his run and then threw a cork 7 off a blind sidehill transfer followed by a massive backflip anyway. He didn’t score very well, but it was enough that Ross Tester was caught on mic in the finish area saying “well that’s the future right there”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZE6C_e4LgE

Then he came back the next comp at Kicking Horse and threw an amazing 360-straight air-backflip triple with a 90-degree redirect through deepish snow in the middle. That got him a 2nd, though I thought he should have beaten Valentin Rainer that day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVVGc7TDVXg

  2. Sorry for the string-reply, but Marcus’ remark at ~17:20 about throwing the snowplow during his double at Verbier is spot on. I’ve watched that sequence a bazillion times (and also showed it to others as an example of spot-on speed control), and he was absolutely on pace to splatter himself all over the second cliff if he hadn’t tapped the brakes when he did.
