  1. The poetic new age Shakespearean writing of Jesse Armstrong also extends to Peep Show and is a must watch, but start at Season 2 onwards. There is some overlap in a few of the characters where you can spot traits that carry though to Succession – also perfect as the episodes are short so can fit around parenting/running Blister/drinking/not drinking etc.

  2. Hey guys, love the podcast

Just listened to reviewing the news which is always a fun listen but just wondered why when talking ski racing no mention was made of the men’s slalom tour stopping at Pallisades, Tahoe in the last week, epic race and first time since ‘67 it was held there or something crazy like that, did Cody go watch?

Big fan of Blister, big fan of the Fifty so keep it going boys, super grateful.

    Cheers
Leanski (just a lowlander living in the UK and grabbing only 1 or 2 weeks skiing a year)

  3. Atlanta, UK, … remember the request at the summit for a Blister Member Dating site where people can fill in their profile with the length or their probe, their probing technique and whether the like to engagen in “hoe-mode” or not. Credit for those ideas go to the patron saint of the podcast, E.H.

  4. I was annoyed at first to have to subscribe to see any ski racing, but now nearing the end of the season I’m happy with spending $9/month to see good coverage. I subscribed to watch the Nordic races, even more of a niche market than alpine and therefore _never_ broadcast or accessible otherwise. Nice to watch full coverage with knowledgeable commentary with zero fluff pieces/athlete bio stories. And how about a shout out to the other USA skiing GOAT Jesse Diggins- first american XC skier to win an Olympic gold (with Kikkan Randall), and just the other week the first american World Champion ever when she won 10k skate race. I realize Blister doesn’t do much with nordic, but it’s still sliding around on snow on skis.

  5. Great podcast, thanks! Just listened to the February episode and really enjoyed the Mikaela Shiffrin part, such an amazing athlete. People are getting tired of me asking them “if they heard what Mikaela did” by now :)

Also pretty cool though and something I almost never hear about is Mikael Kingsbury, with 80 moguls wins out of 135 starts, and 24 crystal globes, starting from a year or two before Mikaela. Lots of differences for sure, but I think the trajectory and long term dominance are pretty similar. I have trouble even looking up stats about him. I did however get to see him ski once. He came to Marmot Basin (my home hill in the Rockies) for a Canadian event about 5 years ago. He was the only big name, just hung out and stretched and prepped in the day lodge with all the local freestyle groms, then won the event. Amazing skiing to see in person.
