Finally. It’s time. Today, we’re revealing the machine I ended up going with on my quest to create daily doses of “hero espresso” (a phrase we coined at the end of this conversation). Blister senior editor, Simon Stewart, joins me for all the glorious, dorky details, and along the way, we discuss decaf coffee & N/A beer; the price of a thing vs. the amount of joy it brings; which mountain bike my espresso machine reminds me of; and more.

  1. Simon take a look at the Odyssey Argos. It has a boiler, the group head is heated and it’s a direct or spring lever machine. It’s small, only about 5 shots before needing to be refilled but it warms up in about 10 minutes.
Jonathan enjoy the trip down the rabbit hole.

    • Wait … did Scott Andrus put you up to this?? And … are we putting ‘bidets’ and ‘smart toilets’ into the ‘craft’ category? Please, please make the case!
