The Patagonia R1 Hoody is one of the most iconic pieces of outdoor apparel of all time. It’s breathable, warm, extremely versatile, and can be seen at campsites, trailheads, rock faces, and skin tracks all around the world. The R1 line has now been around for 20 years (!), and to celebrate this, Patagonia is not only making their R1 line out of more recycled materials, but they also had their climbing athletes, Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll and Nico Favresse, put together what is probably the greatest product promo video we’ve ever seen.
It’s honestly hard to sum up the video with words, so you should just watch it. And the fact that the R1’s Polartec Power Grid fabric is now 93% recycled is pretty awesome, too.
