We’ve been working on a special project with Folsom Custom Skis (you’ve maybe seen a glimpse or two on our Instagram account), and we’re finally ready to discuss the details about it with Folsom’s Mike McCabe.
And in addition to diving deep into the backstory and the progression of this Folsom Blister Pro 104, we also talk about Folsom’s (insane?) new plan to build and deliver custom skis in 2-3 days; go over some highlights from the 19/20 Folsom lineup; and we ask Mike how much of a nightmare it was to work with us on this project.
Hi guys, do you have Blister Pro 104 specs to share on lengths and weights and mount point?
We’ll be posting all of our measured specs, rocker pics, and flex pattern numbers next week, so stay tuned…
These look sweet! I want.
Fun podcast. Folsom skis are great–I own a couple of pairs, and I really, really like them. As a big, tall guy, I have found nothing on the market that compares. Among the many interesting topics on this podcast, one thing stands out: the interaction of side cut, tip rocker, and flex, and how this effects things like turn initiation. I know that’s a huge and complex topic, but it would be great to see a deep-in-the weeds exploration of how these fine details of ski design influence performance. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Hopefully there will be shorter lengths available 182? 184? Looks like an awesome all mountain ski. I may have to sell my Nordica Enforcers lol!
Cool Comparison could be to the the ON3P Wrenegade 108 Ti new this year – comes in 96 Ti also
73mm tip splay is getting close to the Wren’s splay. This is a great thing for the PNW where width does not pay the dividends as much as tip getting above the crud and so called pow in these parts.
I’ll take ~105 underfoot with much tip and and splay over ~115 underfoot with lighter splay in Whistler. YMMV.
