Bluebird Mountain Sports (formerly known as Ski Tech) in Santa Fe, New Mexico has been under new ownership for the past six years. Improving the overall customer experience and providing the highest-quality gear has been the major focus.
Bluebird is focused on making sure they get you in the right equipment. All of the retail equipment is available to try before purchase. Up to 7 days of demo fees can be credited toward purchase of a ski or snowboard! They also offer ski and snowboard tuning, season and daily rentals for kids and adults, and have all the ski accessories to get you ready to head to the mountain.
Bluebird Mountain Sports provides an excellent customer experience, from high-end service to expert bootfitting, and has greatly expanded its hardgoods inventory.
Bluebird also transitions to a full-time summer business once the snow melts, which includes rentals on kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and more.

Brands
Bluebird Mountain Sports is fully stocked for the 24/25 season with a wide inventory of skis and ski boots from an array of brands, as well as a limited selection of ski accessories.
For ski boots, they are stocking brands such as Lange, Rossignol, Tecnica, and Fischer — and they’ll be carrying Masterfit products to help get your boots dialed for the season.
Their ski selection ensures you can get the right equipment for the conditions. They carry Dynastar, Rossignol, Fischer, Nordica, Blizzard, Elan, Armada, and HEAD.
Bluebird also offers plenty of options for snowboarders, including boards from Never Summer, Nidecker, and Capita.
Bluebird Mountain Sports is also carrying a selection of helmets, goggles, and outerwear to help you with any last-minute gear needs before you head up the hill to the local Santa Fe Ski Basin, or the many ski areas that are within a 2-3 hour drive of Santa Fe.
Services
For the 24/25 season, additional space has been dedicated to bootfitting so that Bluebird can assist even more customers with their boot needs. This operation is led by Charlie Bradley, who brings over 30 years of bootfitting experience to the table, including being a Masterfit University instructor for over two decades.
You can expect a full-service bootfitting operation from Bluebird Mountain Sports, with Charlie, Daniel, Jake, and Julian at the helm. This includes building custom insoles, the full spectrum of boot modifications, and a great boot selection. In addition to excellent bootfitting, Bluebird Mountain Sports is equipped with a full-service ski and snowboard shop where you can choose from a variety of tunes, and get your equipment mounted or repaired. Bluebird is also introducing a next-day turnaround for most services. Equipment will be ready by 5 pm the day after it is dropped off. Some services, such as core shot and edge repair may require additional time and will be communicated upon drop-off.
Ski Demos
Providing a robust ski and snowboard rental and demo program is an ongoing priority at Bluebird Mountain Sports, and this includes everything from daily and seasonal lease programs and a demo program where you can try current-year skis. You can reserve your rental equipment via this link.

At Bluebird’s website, you will find a fully new and rebuilt website that gives details on retail inventory, reserving rentals online, details about the shop services and rental / demo program, as well as booking bootfitting appointments. While bootfitting appointments are not required, they are recommended.

Wanted to get fit for ski boots. Saw this Blister recommendation for Charlie Bradley at the Bluebird shop in Santa Fe. I trust Blister, and they trust Charlie. So, I scheduled an appointment.
My appointment was on a Sunday afternoon in June, and I came in from out of town. I was early, but Charlie got started with me anyway. Stock was low in the shop and Charlie recommended that I try more/different boots than what was in the shop. He even went so far as to pull two more pairs of boots from the warehouse south of town that afternoon. Turns out, one of those warehouse pairs worked best for me.
I’m extremely appreciative of Charlie’s direct and no-nonsense advice during the fitting. He was knowledgeable, patient, and generous with his time. He encouraged me to come in for tweaks (if needed) when I’m back in the area during ski season. Could not be more satisfied with my experience. And, now I have even more reason to trust Blister. From mountain bikes to ski boots, you’d be a fool not to check and see what Blister has to say about whatever it is you’re in the market for.
