More About the QST 106:
For more details about the QST 106 (and about the whole lineup of new QST skis, plus Salomon’s new S/Pro Supra dual BOA ski boot), check out our GEAR:30 Podcast episode 332 with Salomon’s Lauren Samuels, Cesar Brouck, and Quentin Boutry.
Flex Pattern
Here’s how we’d characterize the flex pattern of the QST 106:
Tips: 6-7
Shovels: 7.5
In Front of Toe Piece: 8-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10–9
Tails: 8.5-8
The flex pattern of this new “v4” QST 106 is pretty similar to that of the previous “v3” QST 106, except the new v4 ski feels a good bit stiffer behind the bindings / through the tail.

Blister’s Measured Weight per Ski (189 cm): 2103 & 2255 grams
That’s crazy variance for the same pair.
If I bought those skis at a shop and brought them home and weighed them, I’d take them back and ask for a different pair.
