Auden Schendler is someone whose work I’ve admired for a long time. He has a new book out that’s beautifully written and very inspiring, and I hope that you will read it. In this conversation, Auden and I talk about human purpose, the importance of joy and living well; and Auden spells out the need for systemic change — and not just token actions — to actually address climate change.

Looking forward to reading this! In fact, I was testing out a newly recommended app (Libby) to borrow books on my kindle, and without paying too close attention, checked out A Terrible Beauty by Tasha Alexander instead. I spent about an hour listening to Lady Emily navigate the British Victorian era on my commute before I realized this book was not going to veer into climate change at any point!
