  1. On parenthood and skiing, a few thoughts…
Yes, bribery – highly recommend doling out skittles and m and m’s.
    Take an investment mindset.
Everything should hinge on positive experiences and always be prepared to pull the cord and head home or to lodge for hot chocolate, and not press a cold or sad day.
Teach em to carry their skis.
Make things interesting for you by taking up telemarking. Makes greens and blues fun, plus easier to move around.
Be prepared that once they get good, they’ll prob fly past you and only want to ski with their friends. But you can still head up together and sneak quality time in.
But in their later teens and twenties, they likely come back to skiing with you.
Don’t expect kids to dig uphill skiing till late teens at earliest… but good to intro it to then.
Keep it always positive and fun!

    • I second the telemarking!

Also, #1 rule should be to keep the kid warm and dry at all costs. Sub-zero wind chill days in January should be avoided. Invest in good kids outerwear, and boot fitment. Background: I raised three kids, two still ski as adults.

    • Seriously! So your parents decided to raise you somewhere. That doesn’t make “you” special or cool, it makes them cool.

  2. Awesome podcast!! Incredible insights and truly thought provoking. I love the brutally honest and inspiring remarks, comments, and opinions shared. Cody and Jonathan, keep up the great work!!! Thanks so much.

  3. What crack are you smoking on Succession? The most miserable characters ever to be on TV, I hated them all!

    • You’re not supposed to “like” the characters. That’s not what the show is going for, or is about.
