The vinyl record revival has been going full steam for over a decade now, spawning a resurgence of record-pressing plants, new turntable design and innovation, and artists who care about records.
Our guest, Michael Fremer, is regarded as one of the leading authorities on all things vinyl. He’s incredibly passionate about music and enjoys educating people on why they should listen to it on a turntable spinning records.
Our conversation gets into why vinyl came back; why it’s a better way to listen to music; Michael’s appearances on the Today Show and Howard Stern Show; what a pressing is and how to recognize a good one; how to choose your first turntable; turntables that cost as much as a house, and a whole lot more.
