  1. Wow, that was a good one. As someone who works teaching future ER docs all about injury patterns while trying not to crack his own aging skull in the mountains, I appreciated the technical deep dive and back history. I have always been confused how the Virginia Tech ratings for bike helmets had such consistency, 80% of them 4 to 5 technical protection stars, but then snow helmets even from the same brands ranging all over from 1 to 5 stars. Seemed to imply either snow helmets are not designed with the same rigor or consistency or the testing is flawed. Next panel please include more companies (Wavecel for example and more helmet makers) but this was a great intro to MIPS and snow helmet specific issues. More like this please.
