I don’t see any scenario where anyone should or will give either of these guys another chance – especially given their track record. Frankly, if their other failed ventures were as well publicized I don’t think they would have ever been given the chance to do more shenanigans with Peak skis.
Speaking of the tech industry, they did try to raise money last winter at the Consumer Electronics Show. They were trying to go after the tech bro crowd pitching their locating device (which who knows if they even successfully developed) and their nonsensical ski manufacturing revolution. They failed to sucker more people in, in part potentially because anyone who did any basic internet search would see a thread on TGR calling out these conmen. Who knows, but that thread may have saved more people from losing to these conmen.
Of all the many people ripped off, I am actually least sympathetic to Dav and Michelle. Even as they weren’t getting paid and were being ghosted, they waited until now to go public. I presume it was in hopes of eventually getting paid even if such payment was at the expense of suckering others to invest. Given Andy and Bode’s behavior, had they successfully suckered other investors I doubt they would have been paid anyway.
A thread on TGR was started about a year ago calling these guys out as frauds. That thread was visible for anyone doing a Google search on Peak skis which probably didn’t help their cause in trying to attract tech bro money last winter.
The big question for me is how much Andy and Bode took out of Peak Skis in salary and benefits. I would assume at this point they are finished from doing anything like this again.
My assumption is that Dav and Michelle did not go public earlier as it might have prejudiced any legal case they had/have, so whilst they might have wanted to they probably couldn’t. Just a guess
