For this episode, I sat down with Kristin Sinnott to go over some of the products we’ve found useful, surprising, or otherwise noteworthy when we’re on the road or hurtling through the sky. We also discuss extremely relevant things like camcorder storage solutions and dinosaur podcasts, the fact that I don’t actually like traveling, and more.

Luke, I highly recommend you check out the Pakt Travel Backpack 2.0. Full transparency, I don’t own one, but it is on the list. Looks like a great backpack option that still packs like a suitcase and has a nice feature set for the tech-heavy traveller. I am normally a duffle traveller and made the mistake of breaking out my old carry-on roller on a trip a few weeks ago and was reminded why I prefer a backpack. Two hands free, can walk across any surface easily, much more mobile.
Like Kristin, I picked up a passport holder from Alpaka. Holds two passports, paper airline tickets, a few credit cards, and a pen. It’s nice to put passports and extra credit cards in a safe place in your hotel room in case your wallet does go missing. And a pen is always great for those customs forms.
Airtags are another I always like to recommend. My wife and I stuck them in our luggage going to and from France on our honeymoon. I knew before we even took off from Paris that my bag of climbing gear didn’t make it on the plane. While they eventually got it to us, it was nice to look and see where it was.
Kristin, I LOVE my Soundcore Life Q20’s! I got them from work and they are so nice, and the price can’t be beat. I would encourage anyone shopping to try to get the Q20+’s, as it’s USB-C charging vs micro USB. Soon….we will only need one charger…
Great podcast and would love to hear more along these lines!
Awesome, thanks for the recs!
It would be create to get a list with links of these products included on here for future episodes similar to this. I listen to the podcast on the go, but would like to look up the products later when back at my laptop by which point I’ve inevitably forgotten the names! Great episode.
