  1. I found this podcast extremely beneficial. I like the way the info is documented and timed in the notes. That helped me find what I wanted quickly. Well done!

  2. Another fun and informative podcast. Thanks Jonathan, unbiased reviews are so hard to come by.
Really nice to hear the talk in this episode about the EXT Storia shock from David.
David – your bike’s specifically a Geometron G16 (made by Nicolai for Mojo / Geometron Bikes), right. I see Mojo on the seat tube brace. I mean rather than the Nicolai version, That seems important given that Nicolai apparently took a little while to fully come around to and adopt Mr Mojo, Chris Porter’s geometry.
So glad you like the shock behaviour. Seems like a really excellent shock to me, I’m amazed that (on the G1) it not only eats bumps better and provides much better grip and support but also pedals much better. Surprising, I know.
Mine’s on a Geometron G1 which actually has a slight advantage over the older G16 in 2 ways – 1: the linkage was designed specifically for the Storia (Specifically the V3 which was partially developed by Mojo/ Geometron bikes for the G1) and – 2: really importantly, the G1 has space for spherical shock bushings*. In a direct comparison it’s apparently really noticeable.
(* spherical shock bushings reduce shock stiction so much That it needs to be compensated by significantly increasing damping.)
EXT as a company seem obsessed with reducing damping, (eg special fluids, special bushing materials) and riders have reported just how well they have done that in their new ERA single crown fork. Again a design benefitting from co development with Chris Porter’s Geometron team). Let’s hope you can test the ERA and compare to the MORC (36?) you mentioned getting a while back.
    Enjoy the Autumn trails guys.
