I really liked the conversation about the backcountry food. I’m with cody on the “real foods” side of things, landjagers and cheese are where it’s at. Has Cody tried Vapor barrier socks and sleeping bag liners for traverses?
+1 on the feed zone portables by Allen Lim. The recipes in here are super easy, super calorie dense, and super tasty. All while being way cheaper to make than purchasing bars.
Bars are too easy to NOT use especially for light weight high calories that don’t spoil! ProBar Meal bars are awesome, lots of good flavors that I’ve yet to get sick of somehow.
Severance is amazing. Took me a couple episodes to get into but I’ve never seen a show like it.
In terms of pacing, Severance and Better Call Saul are not the same, but similar, I think. Often, after an episode of BCS, I feel like nothing happened…and I enjoyed every minute of it. I really enjoy the space in the show.
Was Danny Noonan a dirtbag?
Great show, I always appreciate you fellas’ banter about current events that this audience is tuned into and I hope you keep it going. I dont know where else we would get thoughtful, open-ended perspective on issues relevant to skiers from a pro like Cody and an insider like Jonathan. An afterthought regarding Better Call Saul–I’m so glad it made your lists. Im really gonna miss that guy! I just want to add that as a practicing trial attorney who has seen most of the legal shows worth watching going back several decades (The Practice, LA Law) Better Call Saul is by very good measure the most accurate portrayal of both civil and criminal trial/courtroom law I have ever seen. That’s just a random bonus to the fact that it’s a damn fine show and I cannot wait to see it all shake out. Here comes Lalo!
Can’t believe nobody has picked up on the whole fake plane crash thing being a massive signal that The Fifty is fake. I mean c’mon who would even think up that stuff ;)
