We talk to Northern-Michigan-based Shaggy’s Copper Country Skis co-founder & product engineer, Jeff Thompson, about their 20/21 lineup; their unusual “nanoMag” construction; and more. Then Luke Koppa talks about skiing pow this week (??) in Crested Butte.

I just want to note that — admittedly, to my own surprise — both Drew and I came back with zero new core shots in our skis.
Wonder if any Shaggy’s will be in the new Buyer’s Guide? Can’t wait to find out!
The Ahmeek 105 will be, and we’re planning on getting on more of their models during the coming season. If you haven’t already, you can read our full review of the Ahmeek 105 here: https://blisterreview.com/gear-reviews/ski-reviews/2019-2020-shaggys-ahmeek-105
Brockway 80, Ahmeek 115?
Jeff is awesome, and my custom Ahmeek 115’s are being produced right now…
I did a lot of research on custom skis before going with shaggy’s.. But it’s the company itself.. And the people who own /run it.. That put them on my #1. Integrity, commitment to things bigger than skis, and just darn nice people.. Combined with an excellent product.
I forsee a future of an entire quiver of shaggy’s customs…
Check them out everyone!!
Very sympa!
