Founded in 2015 in Revelstoke, PULSE Custom Boot Lab has become the go-to bootfitting service in the area, and have since expanded to Banff. Pulse is an independently owned shop with an excellent reputation for their bootfitting services and more.
Pulse Boot Lab takes “the voodoo out of bootfitting,” developing their own proprietary software, in addition to foot scanning technology, 3D printed custom insoles, custom injection liners and other data-based innovations to help get you in the right ski boot, or improve the fit of the ones you already have. And to compliment those computer-driven systems, Pulse has a team of specialty fitters with tons of experience, plus their own R&D Development Lab. Over the past few years, Pulse has done some incredible things to further the world of bootfitting, and in doing so has brought a whole lot of precision into the way boots are fitted and adjusted.
Pulse’s goal is for you to love your boots, and with all the techniques they utilize to get you there, it’s no wonder they have a glowing reputation as some of the most specialty bootfitters in the industry, offering levels of service and R&D and technology that are certainly transforming what is possible in the world of bootfitting.

Services
Pulse Boot Labs’ highest level of service comes in the form of bootfitters with 20+ years of experience, who are accompanied by an R&D Team to help use data during the boot selection process. A complete foot scan and answering up to 25 questions, ensures that Pulse has all the info they need to get you trying on some appropriate boots, and then further customize the boot once one is chosen.
Pulse offers several other unique bootfitting services, such as building their own Italian hand-crafted custom injection liners, and offering performance accessories that are proprietary to Pulse, such as ProFlex (listen to GEAR:30, Episode 35 to find out more). Pulse also 3D prints custom insoles in a matter of minutes, and has built their own bootfitting tools that make the process much more exact. Pulse is also expanding into a four-season model, as they are able to use their 3D Printing technology to build insoles for other activities, such as golf shoes or cycling shoes. Once they take the scan, they are able to reverse-engineer the perfect insole, while taking into account a variety of biomechanical factors.
Pulse provides extensive services, including but not limited to, complimentary fitting consultations, bootfitting for any level of skier, alignment/balancing services, female-specific fitting solutions, footbeds and injected liners, fit and performance aids, boot modification, and a Race Room for fitting athletes. They work on boots purchased in-store or outside of the store, but everyone will go through the same procedure to ensure the best result.
Each boot purchased at Pulse Boot Lab has a “Money Well Spent” Guarantee on any full custom fit boots, meaning that all adjustments are included, and if they don’t get the fit right the first time, they will redo it, credit, or refund you (situation-dependent).
Pulse also has a Junior Buyback program for the up-and-coming shredders. After one season, you can receive 50% of the value back on a junior boot purchase. This credit can be used towards anything in the store.
While not all the locations offer ski services, they are partnered with some of the best in the area and can get you in the hands of the right technicians.
